Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on March 22, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred and ninetieth day of the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The Russian Federation continues its military aggression against Ukraine, with no intention of abandoning its goal of fully occupying Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The enemy is conducting offensive operations on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Mariupol, and Shakhtarsk directions, while defending on others. Units of the Defense Forces repelled 114 enemy attacks in the eastern sector of the front over the past day.

The Russian aggressor continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, shelling populated areas as well as critical infrastructure objects.

Over the past day, the occupiers carried out 10 missile strikes and 32 air raids, and also conducted 90 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers, including — on civilian objects.

The threat of strikes remains across all of Ukraine. Thus, this night, on March 22, the enemy carried out another massive drone attack using "Shahed-136" drones. According to preliminary information, 16 out of 21 drones launched by the enemy were destroyed by our defenders.

On the Volyn, Polesie, North and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation — without significant changes. Formations for offensive operations of the enemy have not been detected. The higher leadership of the Belarusian Republic continues to support the military aggression of the Russian Federation, providing its infrastructure for preparing enemy units. The enemy maintains a military presence in border areas. During the past day, it shelled the areas of the villages Khrynyvka and Mykhailychyna Sloboda in Chernihiv Oblast; Atynske, Iskriskyshchyna, Volfinne, Pavlivka, Basivka, Yunakiivka, and Popivka in Sumy Oblast; and Basyve, Kozacha Lopan', Strilecha, Hlybokе, Vovchan'sk, and Velikyi Burluk in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy continues attempts to break our defense. Conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of the villages Kreminna, Dybrova, Bihorivka, and Vesele. Carried out artillery attacks on the areas of the villages Krasne Pervoe, Dvorichna, Masutyvka, Kupyansk, Khromal'ne, and Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast; Novoselivske, Nevske, and Bihorivka — Luhansk Oblast, as well as Tor'skе, Spirne, and Fedorivka on Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations, losing a significant number of personnel, weapons, and military equipment. Our defenders repelled numerous attacks by the enemy in the areas of the villages Oril'ovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Bakhmut, Klyshchyivka, and Mayor'sk. The enemy shelled, among others, Vasyukivka, Zaliznyanske, Minkyvka, Oril'ovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Predtechynе, Chasiv Yar, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, and Pivnichne in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka, Mariupol, and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy conducted offensive operations in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Novokalinovo, Krasnyhorivka, Stepanovoe, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Severnoe, Vodyane, Pervomaiskе, Mariupol, and Victory — without success. Almost 20 unsuccessful attempts to advance were made by the enemy in the area of Mariupol. The enemy shelled Lastochkine, Berdychi, Orlyvka, Avdiivka, Tonienke, Georgiyivka, Nevels'ke, Krasnyhorivka, Mariupol, and Vugledar in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the enemy is defending. Areas of populated places such as Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Olhyvyske, Maliyinivka, Cherwonе, Charivne, Hulyaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriyivka, and Kamians'ke — Zaporizhzhya Oblast, as well as Kherson, Berislav, Poniativka, Daryvka, and Antonivka were shelled.

During the past day, aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out six strikes on areas where occupiers are concentrated. At the same time, our defenders shot down 15 enemy drones of various types as well as two guided air-to-surface missiles Kh-59.

Units of rocket forces and artillery hit a munitions depot, two anti-aircraft missile systems, a radar station, and another important target of the enemy.
