To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on December 6, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred eighty-sixth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

Russian occupiers continue their military aggression against our state, do not stop delivering blows to civilian infrastructure objects. They are trying to maintain the temporarily occupied territories, concentrate efforts on restraining units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, carry out engineering equipment of defensive lines and positions in temporarily occupied and occupied territories of Ukraine. On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka axes, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations, actively using aviation to support their ground forces.

Over the past day, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of the populated places of Verkhnyokamyanske, Bakhmut, Andriyivka, Yakovlivka, Siversk, Kurdyumivka, Krasnogorivka of Donetsk Oblast.

The enemy does not stop shelling populated areas and positions of our units along the line of contact, conducts aerial reconnaissance. Continues to deliver strikes on critical infrastructure and civilian housing, violating international humanitarian law, laws and customs of war.

Over the past day, the adversary delivered massive missile strikes against objects of critical and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. Civilian buildings and critical infrastructure facilities in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and other regions of our country were hit.

The enemy launched more than 70 missiles X-101, X-555, X-22, X-59, X-31P, and "Kalibr" at the territory of Ukraine. In total, over 60 missiles of the occupiers were destroyed by units of air defense systems of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

There remains a threat of enemy missile strikes on objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure across the entire territory of Ukraine.

Over the past day, the adversary delivered 17 aviation strikes and carried out 38 shelling with multiple rocket launchers.

On the Volyn and Polesie axes, the situation remains unchanged, no signs of forming offensive groupings by the enemy have been detected.

The Republic of Belarus continues to support Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, providing territory and airspace for missile and aviation strikes.

On the Northern axis, the enemy carried out shelling with mortars and artillery populated places Senkivka, Sosnovka in Chernihiv Oblast and Homelivka, Oleksandrivka, Slavgorod in Sumy Oblast.

On the Slobozhansky axis, the enemy continues to maintain its troops in border areas of Belgorod Oblast. Shelling with tanks, mortars and artillery was experienced by the areas of populated places Volokhivka, Vylkhuvatka, Dvoriche, Krasne, Ogireve, Starytsia, Strilecha, Terneva in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman axes, the enemy is conducting defensive operations. Carried out shelling with tanks, mortars and artillery of areas of populated places Berestove, Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabayevka, Pishchane, Khromyane in Kharkiv Oblast; Novoselyvsk, Steylmakhivka in Luhansk Oblast and Makieivka, Nevsky, Terny on the Donets. The enemy used army aviation for strikes near the populated place of Kotlyarivka.

On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka axes, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on conducting offensive operations, trying to improve tactical positions. Shelling with tanks and all types of artillery was experienced by 20 populated places, including Bilohorivka, Siversk, Bakhmutse, Bakhmut, Klyshchyivka, White Mountain, Friendship, Avdiivka, Pervomaisk, Nevelsk, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast. The enemy delivered strikes with combat aviation in the areas of populated places Spirene, Kamianka, Mariinka.

On the Novopavlivsk axis, the enemy is conducting defensive operations. Carried out shelling with artillery of various types of areas of populated places Bogoyavlanka, Vuhledar and Prichystivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson axes, the enemy is conducting defensive actions. Carried out tank and artillery shelling of areas of over 16 populated places that border with the line of contact, including populated places Vremivka, Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Olhyvsk, Dorozhnyanka, Zaliznychne, Plevni in Zaporizhzhya Oblast; as well as Golden Steppe, Novoselka in Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

Aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces over the past day delivered 15 strikes on areas of personnel concentration, weapons and military equipment, as well as five strikes on positions of enemy air defense missile systems.

Units of rocket troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces over the day hit two command points, eight areas of personnel concentration and an important target of the enemy.
