The Israeli tournament in Group A6 of the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship 2023 (WU-19) concluded with the participation of Ukraine's youth women's national team. The final opponent for the blue-and-yellow team was the host nation.

In previous matches, Valeriy Palamarchuks' protégés drew with Austria (1:1) and narrowly lost to Germany (1:2). In the final match against Israel in Ramat Gan, a draw was enough for Ukraine to remain in the higher division.

In summary, our team fulfilled their task — the encounter ended with a 0-0 draw. Despite Borisyuk's red card early in the second half, it did not hinder the Ukrainians, who had to make several substitutions towards the end of the game.

Therefore, the blue-and-yellow team secured third place in the group, retained their status in Group A and are now awaiting the draw for the next round on December 7th.

In total, 28 teams compete in Group A (including eight that moved up from Group B after the second qualifying round of the 2021/2022 season). They are divided into seven groups. Teams within each group play a mini-tournament on one venue.

Teams finishing fourth will continue in the second round of Group B. The seeding for the second round will depend on their positions in the first round. Belgium also participates despite having an automatic qualification to the finals as hosts.

Teams from Group B (including those that dropped from Group A after the second qualifying round of 2021/2022, and Gibraltar's team making its debut in UEFA women's tournaments) compete for promotion to Group A across seven groups. Winners of each group will advance to a higher division.
