Today in Saudi Arabia the Ukrainian women's beach soccer team played for third place at the prestigious Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2022.

In the group stage, our team lost to Brazil (0:2) and England (2:4), but defeated the Netherlands (6:0). Thus, the Ukrainians finished third in their group and today faced the Dutch team again in a match for third place organized by the tournament organizers.

Unfortunately, the consolation final was not as easy for our team as the group stage match. After the first period, the blue-and-yellow team fell behind—0:2, and early in the second 12-minute interval they conceded another goal.

Our girls tried to salvage the situation and twice managed to score through efforts by Vipasnyak and Kalyagina, but ultimately lost—2:3. Given the short bench due to a tight tournament schedule (four matches in four days).

Thus, the Ukrainian team secured fourth place at the Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2022 in Saudi Arabia.
