Today in Saudi Arabia the Ukrainian women's beach soccer team played their second match in the prestigious Neom Beach Soccer Cup 2022 tournament.

Yesterday, in the opening game of the competition, blue-and-yellow lost to the fourth-ranked BSWW team—Brazil (0:2). Today, they faced the second-ranked team—the United Kingdom.

In the first period, the British women fully confirmed their status as favorites by scoring twice against Anastasia Teresh. Katie James completed the double.

At the start of the second 12-minute interval, Molly Clark delivered a fantastic shot from long distance and scored her team's third goal. However, almost immediately, Teresh demonstrated that she has no less powerful shots, and Anastasia Kalyagina adjusted the ball into the net—1:3. Four minutes later, our goalkeeper managed to upset their English counterpart again, though with some help from a ricochet—2:4. But hope for a comeback lasted only briefly—as Katie James completed her hat-trick, once again widening the lead of our opponents by two goals—4:2.

In the third period, there were no more goals, and Ukraine suffered their second loss in the tournament. Therefore, tomorrow they will compete for third place against the Netherlands team.
