By the draw for the final stage of Euro 2023 (U-21), the Ukrainian youth national team ended up in group B, where they will play against the tournament hosts, Romania, as well as Spain and Croatia.

Their thoughts about their opponents at the group stage were shared with the official website of the UAF by players under the guidance of Ruslan Rotan.

Mikhail Mudryk

"At such a tournament, anyone can surprise you, including our group. Everyone thinks the toughest match will be against Spain, but I believe it won't be easy against Romania and Croatia either. But I really hope that the biggest revelation of the tournament will be Ukraine's national team. We are not considered favorites, and this might work to our advantage."

Nicolai Kukharevich

"At this stage of the tournament, there are no weak opponents. But if Ukraine's national team can show all its best qualities, then it should be able to accomplish the minimum goal, which is reaching the quarter-finals."
