There is still one official training session left for the blue-and-yellow team — on the field of Hampden Park stadium. The day before, while in their Slovenian camp, 24 footballers from Ukraine's national team polished elements of their tactical model, which the coaching staff and players have been working on throughout the final stretch of the preparatory gathering.

The last player to join the team was Andriy Lunin, goalkeeper for Real Madrid, who commented on the upcoming match.

"I feel good, although the journey was a bit tough. There were three days of celebrating the Champions League victory, but the most important thing is that I'm here with the team now. The end of the season was very intense — having a child born, winning in the CL, celebrations, call-up to the national team... Words fail me! But switching over to national team matters isn't an issue for me. This is not my first time.

This year at Real Madrid turned out to be very special. We won many matches, overcoming obstacles during games, there were lots of emotions and impressions, so the celebrations of success were grand. Despite playing in few matches myself, just being part of this atmosphere is a huge experience. It's hard to describe — you have to live through it. Going through the whole journey, training with such a team — that's worth everything.

The match we are preparing for, as my teammates already mentioned, is very important. Because now our warriors fighting for Ukraine are inspiring the entire world. We need to step onto the field and do our job to give them and all of our people positive emotions. This is something that we can do. We have to give everything for this!" — said Andriy Lunin.

We remind you that the semi-final match of the 2022 World Cup qualifier between Scotland and Ukraine will take place on June 1 in Glasgow at Hampden Park stadium (9.45 PM).
