In the group stage of European supremacy, blue-and-yellow lost to the Netherlands (2:3), thrashed Serbia (6:1), and lost to Portugal (0:1), but secured second place in their group and advanced to the knockout stage. Today, on January 31st, in Amsterdam, Ukraine will face Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals (kickoff at 9 PM Kyiv time).

Ukraine has reached the quarter-finals of the European Championship for six consecutive tournaments (meaning they have progressed from the group stage to the semi-final round on all occasions where this stage was present, previously advancing to the semi-finals). However, in previous instances, our team did not advance further. In 1/4 finals, Ukraine lost to Azerbaijan, Croatia, Portugal, Serbia, and Spain. We hope that this time we will break the streak.

It should be noted that in 2001 and 2003, the Ukrainian national team achieved their greatest successes to date, reaching the final twice and securing a silver medal of continental supremacy.
