From August 31 to September 2, 2026, in Geneva (Switzerland), the UEFA summer training course for top referees (2026/27 Men Summer course for UEFA top referees) took place.

In total, 93 referees from 38 national associations participated in the event. The list of participants included FIFA Elite and First Category referees.

Representing Ukraine at the seminar were Mykola Balakin and Oleksiy Derevinsky. As part of the course program, they successfully completed theoretical testing on the Laws of the Game as well as a physical fitness test.

The main goals of the gathering were to analyze the refereeing experience from the previous season, familiarize participants with key instructions for the new campaign, and check the physical condition of the referees.
