The goals of the UEFA Playmakers program implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association:

·       to introduce girls to football by creating an environment where fun, friends, and football are the focus;

·       to introduce a new individual coaching approach that uses imagination (inspired by Disney stories and characters) as a tool for training and skill acquisition;

·       to refine the girls' life skills, basic movement skills, and teach them the fundamentals of football to foster a lifelong love for the sport.

The classes at Perebrodivsky Lyceum were conducted by project coaches Mykola Zhakunets and Oksana Chmunevych.

The participants shared their impressions of the project:

Mykola Zhakunets: "The cycle of UEFA Playmakers sessions left a positive impression and sincere emotions. During the classes, it was pleasant to observe how girls gradually discovered football through play, favorite stories, and teamwork.

The format of the program helped create an atmosphere of trust, joy, and interest. The children enthusiastically participated in exercises, actively interacted with each other, supported one another, and became more confident with each session. It was especially valuable to see their emotions, desire to return for sessions, and their happiness at success. We sincerely thank UEFA, UAF, ROAF, the girls' parents for the opportunity to be part of this action.".

Alice C.: "I am very glad to have participated in the program. The training sessions were fun, interesting, and reminiscent of a fairy tale world. We not only learned how to play football but also traveled through Disney's animated films, imagined ourselves as heroes, and completed exciting tasks."

Maria Kh.: "I enjoyed playing in a team and acting together the most. During the sessions, we became braver, more active, and more confident. The coaches were very kind and always supported us. We came to the sessions with joy and now love football even more."
