The head coach of the Ukraine national team, Serhiy Rebrov, has called up defender Oleh Ocheretnyk from Shakhtar Donetsk for the upcoming matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Iceland (October 10, Reykjavik) and Azerbaijan (October 13, Krakow).

The midfielder will replace Oleksandr Zubkov of Turkish Trabzonspor in the blue-and-yellow team.

The national team's training camp began today, October 6, in Poland. On the 8th, the blue-and-yellow team will travel to Reykjavik where on the 9th there will be a traditional pre-match press conference with Serhiy Rebrov and one of his players (start — at 20:30 Kyiv time) and training session (21:00 Kyiv time) at the Iceland vs. Ukraine stadium, "Leyrgarðsvöllur". Return to Poland is scheduled for October 11.

On October 12 in Krakow, there will be traditional pre-match events before the game between Ukraine and Azerbaijan. At 17:30 local time, a press conference with Serhiy Rebrov and one of his players will begin, followed by training for the Ukrainian team at 18:00.

Communication with representatives of Azerbaijani media and training sessions of our opponents will start at 19:30 and 20:00 local time respectively.
