Fundamental and historical changes in children's and youth football: the National League of the Future begins!

The 2025/2026 season in Ukrainian youth football will provide a boost to development and become the first step towards major changes aimed at improving the level of preparation and competition at the foundation of Ukrainian football.

Main Changes for the Season

1. New name for competitions. Instead of the acronym DYFL, the Ukrainian championship among boys will officially be called "National League of the Future." This brand reform reflects the main goal of the competition — to raise a new generation of players for Ukraine's national teams.

2. Creation of the PRO-League. A new league with 12 of the strongest teams in the country has been introduced, formed based on sporting principles from the results of two previous seasons. This will increase competition levels and promote talent development.

3. Unified vertical of competitions. The system includes four divisions: PRO-League, Elite League, First League, and Second League.

4. Transparent ranking system. Each club will have its own results table by age categories as well as an overall club table reflecting general achievements.

6. Live broadcasts. All matches in the PRO-League will be centrally broadcasted for free access on a single official YouTube channel. The goal is to create a unified commercial product.

7. Increased requirements for match organization and refereeing.

8. The National League of the Future will be accompanied by modern and high-quality media content, adding emotion and making the tournament closer and more interesting to fans.

In the 2025/2026 season:

PRO-League — 12 clubs (48 teams).

Elite League — 40 clubs (160 teams).

First League — 30 clubs (120 teams).

Second League — 80 clubs (160 teams).

We are confident that this season will be a breakthrough for the system of youth football in Ukraine and gift the country a new generation of football stars. We are grateful to everyone who believed in the project and initiated major changes.
