"Open Football Festivals": autumn season kicked off

A home match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against France, scheduled for September 5th, will be held by Ukraine at the "Tarchomin Stadium Wroclaw" in Wroclaw.
This stadium, which our team has played in three times already, can accommodate 45,105 spectators and is home to the local club "Slask."
It was here that on September 9th, 2023, during a Euro-2024 group stage qualifier match, blue-and-yellow scored a draw with England thanks to Oleksandr Zinchenko's goal (1:1), and on March 26th, 2024, in the final of the Euro-2024 playoff, they defeated Iceland (2:1) due to successful strikes by Viktor Tsygankov and Mykhailo Mudryk. On October 14th, 2024, during a Nations League match against Czech Republic, they drew again (1:1), with Artem Dovbyk scoring the only goal for our team from a penalty.
Soon, the UAF will announce the start of ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup qualifier match between Ukraine and France.

UEFA (Europe): 16 spots.
The European zone qualifier will take place from March 2025 to March 2026 and consist of two rounds. Teams will compete for 16 World Cup spots.
Round 1: Twelve groups with five or four teams each will play between March and November 2025 in the traditional group stage system. The twelve group winners will receive direct tickets to the final round.
The twelve second-place finishers, along with the four best group winners from UEFA Nations League 2024/2025 who finished below second place in the European qualification group stage, will participate in mini-tournaments.
Round 2: Mini-tournaments in March 2026 will consist of one-legged semi-finals and finals. Fourteen participants will be divided into four playoff paths. The four winners will receive tickets to the World Cup.
AFC (Asia): 8 spots + 1 place in intercontinental playoffs.
CAF (Africa): 9 spots + 1 place in intercontinental playoffs.
CONCACAF (North and Central America): 3 tournament hosts + 3 spots + 2 places in intercontinental playoffs.
CONMEBOL (South America): 6 spots + 1 place in intercontinental playoffs.
OFC (Oceania): 1 spot + 1 place in intercontinental playoffs.
Intercontinental Playoffs: 2 spots.
The World Cup 2026 will be the first in history to feature 48 national teams in the final stage, divided into twelve groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group and eight best third-placed teams advance to the round of 16.
Matches for the 23rd World Cup will take place in sixteen cities. In Canada - Toronto and Vancouver, in Mexico - Guadalajara, Mexico City, and Monterrey, and in the USA - Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle.
The opening match of the World Cup will take place on June 11th, 2026, in Mexico City, while the final match will be held in New York on July 19th.
