One of the two UEFA Playmakers centers in Zhytomyr region is Korosten. The project, implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association and the Zhytomyr Regional Football Association, takes place at the local school № 5. It is conducted by coaches Igor and Alona Ohrimchuk.

The mother of young participant Maiya R. says: "Our daughter has been attending UEFA Playmakers football classes for several months now, and we are very pleased with the results. She has become more active, confident in herself, and disciplined. The coaches find an approach to each child, creating a friendly atmosphere where girls not only improve their football skills but also learn how to work as part of a team."

The classes are interesting and productive, but most importantly, they are safe. We have noticed significant progress in our daughter's physical development: endurance, speed, and coordination have noticeably improved. In addition, regular training helped her find new friends and learn to support teammates on the field.

Thank you to the organizers and coaches for their professional approach to teaching, support, and motivation of children! We recommend this section to all parents who want their daughters to engage in sports in a pleasant and professional atmosphere."

Thanks to systematic training, professional approach of the coaching staff, and perseverance of our young female athletes, the team confidently progresses and achieves new heights."

It is especially pleasant to note the growing interest in football among girls and their motivation for self-improvement. Our students not only improve technical and tactical skills but also acquire important life skills—teamwork, discipline, and leadership.

Goals of the UEFA Playmakers program, implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association:

  • to introduce girls to football, creating an environment where fun, friends, and football are at the center;
  • to implement a new individual coaching approach that uses imagination (inspired by Disney stories and characters) as a tool for training and acquiring football skills;
  • to develop life skills in girls, basic movement skills, and teach the basics of football to foster lifelong interest in the sport.
