June 27 at the Kyiv NTI named after V. Bannikov, a football tournament among military units (subdivisions) of the 12th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces took place on Ukraine's Constitution Day.

Twelve teams participated in the competition: "Gora", "Medoid", "Teteriv", "Lytyi", AG № 1, "Pobratimi", "Stalker", "Riy", "Dnipro", "Nika", "Kobzari" and "Extreme".

According to the tournament rules, three groups of four participants each were formed. Teams that secured first places in their quartets and one best second-place team played semi-finals. The teams that lost in the semi-finals played for third place, while winners met in the final.

At the award ceremony, the General Secretary of the Ukrainian Football Association Igor Gryshchenko greeted participants:

«Thank you all for your participation! Such events are created precisely so that each of you has an opportunity to show yourself. As already mentioned, those who take part — are already winners.

I would like to separately thank a significant number of servicemen who have passed through the line of combat engagement. Today, probably many of you already have a status of limited or full fitness for service in military units. Thanks to your resilience and dedication, we were able to return to peaceful life and development.
