The Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association (UFA) has adopted a decision to temporarily suspend the membership of the public association "Kherson Oblast Football Association" in the UAF due to numerous violations of statutory norms, organizational dysfunction, and the expiration of the term of authority for its leadership.

The committee also recommended that the HOFA bring its activities into compliance with the requirements of the statutes and regulatory documents of the UFA and the HOFA within a three-month period, particularly in terms of preparing and conducting an extraordinary conference.

An important aspect in adopting this decision was the lack of information regarding the use by the HOFA of the UAF's irrevocable financial assistance.

In case all violations are rectified, a report is provided on the use of funds, and lawful elections for management bodies take place, membership and funding will be reinstated.

"Unfortunately, over the last one and a half years, there has been no full-fledged working relationship with the leadership of the HOFA. There were certain barriers in communication with the executive director of the association, while its chairman did not respond at all to contacts. The Assembly of Regions of the UAF initiated the creation of a working group that investigated the situation and recommended to the Executive Committee to take action regarding suspending the membership of the HOFA. Therefore, this decision primarily stems from regional associations that observed violations in their colleagues' activities. Kherson Oblast is partially occupied by an enemy, so all issues related to this region must be approached with maximum responsibility."

At the meeting of the Executive Committee, First Deputy Chairman of the HOFA Serhiy Khlynyi was present and expressed his desire to rectify the situation. However, he currently lacks an understanding of financial activities and crisis exit strategy. Therefore, we have temporarily suspended their membership. In fact, this means that until there is transparent reporting, we cannot provide irrevocable financial assistance as we do for other regional associations. We believe in the prompt correction of all violations and will support the restoration of full-fledged activity by the Kherson Oblast Football Association," — commented on the situation after the meeting First Vice President of UFA Artem Stoyanov.
