Today, on March 14 in Murcia, Spain, the Ukrainian women's national team WU-17 will play their decisive third match in the second qualifying round for the 2025 European Championship. The opponent of the blue and yellow team will be Iceland (match start at 16:00 Kyiv time).

As a reminder, the Ukrainian women's national team WU-17 in their group for the second round in Group A started with a minimal loss to the current European champions in this age category—Spain (1:2), and in the second match they lost to Belgium (0:2).

The final match of the second qualifying round will be played today against Iceland's team. For our girls to remain in Group A, only a victory will do.

In the second qualifying round, seven teams will be determined to join the Faroe Islands at the final stage of the European Championship for women's under-17 teams. Additionally, teams that move from one league to another will also be decided. The seeding for the draw in the second round was based on the positions held by the national teams after the first qualifying round.

In League A, seven groups with 28 teams are playing, including seven teams that advanced from League B following the results of the first qualifying round. The winners of each group in League A will qualify for the final stage, which will take place between May 4 and 17, 2025. Teams finishing fourth in their groups will start the 2025/2026 season in League B.

In League B, 21 teams are competing in six groups for promotion to League A for the next qualifying round.

It is worth noting that the EURO-2025 (WU-17) will serve as a qualifier for the 2025 FIFA Women's Under-17 World Cup, which will take place from October 17 to November 8 in Morocco.
