Semi-defender of the Ukraine national team, Georgiy Sudakov, commented on our team's qualification for the final stage of Euro-2024 after defeating Iceland (2:1) in the playoff qualifier final.

"I left all my emotions on the field, and now, after the game, there is only fatigue and incredible pride for our country and our team. It's hard to put it into words."

Am I a hero of the match? If not for such players as Mykhailo Mudryk and Viktor Tsygankov, I probably wouldn't have had the chance to make those goal assists. Credit must be given where it's due. I don't think about my effectiveness, although it feels great, but first and foremost, I give everything to the team. I am incredibly happy that we won!

You could say that in the match against Iceland, we played as if at home, with 30 thousand fans driving us forward. And this gives incredible confidence when you are supported like that. It was harder on the road from Bosnia. I can only thank our supporters for such an atmosphere. Today, we really showed what we are capable of and what the Ukraine national team is all about. 

This will be a special Euro for me, and I am incredibly looking forward to it. I think we have all the chances to come out of our group. We already know our opponents and will prepare accordingly. Now, of course, we are focusing on league matches, on our club, and then all thoughts will be about Euro.", — said Georgiy Sudakov.
