The Ukrainian and Italian Football Associations signed a memorandum of cooperation

IFA and UAF have a long history of cooperation, evidenced by the implementation since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine of numerous joint initiatives to support Ukrainian citizens, including young football players. Now partner associations are launching a new project. It is about implementing technical training activities at the Coverciano Centre involving young Ukrainian players and coaches.

"I am proud that Ukraine has chosen Italy as the starting point for such an important cooperation both from a football perspective and from a values perspective," said IFA President Gabriele Gravina. "We have always been on the side of our Ukrainian friends through solidarity initiatives to help improve living conditions for ordinary people, as well as sports projects by providing opportunities for thousands of young people who fled the war to register in them. Now we will provide a more structured path for technical cooperation aimed at guaranteeing the future of Ukrainian football. I have known Andriy for a long time and wish him success in his new position for his country."

"Italy has always been my second home, filled with unforgettable memories. I am grateful to every Italian for their constant support since the first day of full-scale war in Ukraine. And I look forward to implementing joint projects for the development of Ukrainian football," — noted Andriy Shevchenko.

Both national associations intend to strengthen and develop friendly relations and technical cooperation, helping coaches and young players realize their human and professional potential, as well as participate in sports and educational events in Italy.
