Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on January 24, 2024 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The seventh hundred day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of warfare, employs tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, conducts artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers not only on military but also on numerous civilian objects in our country.

During the past day, 56 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out 48 missile and 112 air strikes, conducted 73 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers against positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians, including children. Over 200 different objects of civilian infrastructure in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, Kharkiv and Pavlograd in Dnipropetrovsk region were damaged or destroyed.

Yesterday, Russian occupiers carried out another air strike using 6 combat drones of Shahed-136/131 type. With the means and forces of Ukraine's anti-aircraft defense system, one enemy drone was destroyed.

Air strikes were suffered by: Kozacha Lopan', Lipci, Gatische in Kharkiv region; Makieyevka, Bihorivka, Serednyanske forest in Luhansk region; Terny, Serednyanka, Seversk, Bogdanivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Urozhayne in Donetsk region; Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region; Kachkarivka, Mylove, Berislav in Kherson region.

More than 150 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «North» on Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On Northern and Slobozhansky directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeployment to threatening directions, increases density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Khortytsia» on Kupyansk direction, our defenders repelled an enemy attack near Sinkyvka, Kharkiv region.

On Lyman direction Ukrainian fighters repelled 4 attacks by occupiers in the areas of Yamopolovka and Torsky Donetsk region as well as another 2 attacks around Bihorivka and Serednyanske forest Luhansk region.

On Bakhmut direction Defense Forces repelled 3 enemy attacks near Bogdanivka, Ivanivske and Klyshchyivka Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Tavria» on Avdiyivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiyivka. Our fighters firmly hold their defense line, inflicting heavy losses on aggressors. Thus, Defense Forces repelled 5 attacks by the enemy in the areas of Novobakhmutivka and Stepanovoe as well as another 11 attacks near Perevomayske and Nevelskoye Donetsk region during the past day.

On Mariupol direction Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy around Georgiyivka and Novomykhailivka Donetsk region, where 16 attacks were repelled.

On Shakhtarsk direction the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On Zaporizhzhia direction our defenders repelled 4 attacks by the enemy south of Chervone, west of Verbove and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Odessa» on Kherson direction, Defense Forces continue to carry out actions for expanding their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to dislodge Ukrainian units from occupied positions. During the past day, the enemy carried out 7 unsuccessful assaults on our troops' positions.

At the same time, our fighters continue to inflict casualties and equipment losses on occupying forces through active actions along the entire front line.

During the day, aviation of Defense Forces carried out strikes against 10 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems and 1 command post of the enemy. Also with means and forces of Ukraine's anti-aircraft defense system, 15 cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55, 5 ballistic missiles «Iskander-M», 2 guided air-to-ground missiles Kh-59 were destroyed.

Subunits of rocket forces carried out strikes against 1 area of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, 9 artillery systems and 1 radio-electronic warfare station of the enemy.
