To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on January 18, 2024 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred ninety-fourth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, there were 78 combat engagements. In total, the enemy carried out nine missile and 128 air strikes, conducted 77 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers on our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are injured among civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed.

During the night, Russian occupiers carried out another air strike using 33 Shahed-136/131 attack drones. Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense forces shot down 22 enemy drones.

Air strikes hit Fedorivka, Vorozhansk, Tabayivka, Pyskanе Kharkiv region; Serhiyivske forest, Bilohirivka Luhansk region; Terny, Hrybivka, Serebryanok, Avdiivka, Kostiantynivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Zelenopole Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Robotyne Zaporizhzhia region; Chervoniy Mayak, Zmiyivka, Tyaginka Kherson region.

More than 130 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «North» on the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi fronts the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening directions, and increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Khortytsia» on the Kupyansk front, our defenders repelled six enemy attacks near Sinkyvka Kharkiv region.

On the Lyman front Ukrainian soldiers repelled 13 enemy attacks in the areas of Terny, Yamopolivka Donetsk region and five more around Makieivka, Bilohirivka Luhansk region.

On the Bakhmut front our soldiers repelled eight enemy attacks near Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Klyshchyivka and Andriyivka Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Tavria» on the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense line, inflicting heavy losses on the aggressors. Thus, over the past day, our forces repelled 13 attacks by the enemy in the areas of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka and another 14 attacks near Severnyy, Pervomayske and Nevelskе Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol front our forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Mariinka and Novomykhailivka Donetsk region, where 10 attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk front our defenders repelled an enemy attack north of Novodonetsk Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia front the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Odessa» on the Kherson front our forces continue to expand their foothold. Despite heavy losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. Over the past day, the enemy carried out six unsuccessful assaults on our positions.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue active operations inflicting casualties and equipment damage on occupying forces along the entire front line.

During the past day, air force of defensive forces struck seven areas of enemy troop concentration, weapons and military equipment, command posts and five anti-aircraft missile systems. Also, Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense forces shot down one guided air-to-surface missile Kh-59.

Units of rocket troops inflicted damage on two command posts, one area of enemy troop concentration, three radar stations, two anti-aircraft weapons and two ammunition depots.
