To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on January 15, 2024 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and ninetieth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, carries out missile and air strikes, and shells both military and numerous civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

During the past day, there were 94 combat engagements. In total, the enemy inflicted seven missile and sixty air strikes, carried out sixty-four shelling attacks with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

Air raids were suffered by Vilkhuvatka, Volchansk in the Kharkiv region; Bihorivka, Pyskan, Serebryanske forest district in the Luhansk region; Kолодязі, Vesele, Bogdanivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vladimirovka in the Donetsk region.

More than 140 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were subjected to artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" «on the Volynian and Polesian directions» the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" «on the Kupyansk direction» Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks near Syntsovkivka and Petrovivka in Kharkiv region.

On the Lyman direction our defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks near Makieyevka, Bihorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhnyokamyanske in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut direction our soldiers repelled five attacks by occupiers near Klyshchivka and Andriyivka in Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" «on the Avdiivskiy direction» Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting heavy losses on aggressors. Thus, during the past day, our forces repelled 11 attacks by the enemy in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and another 14 attacks near Pervomayskoye and Nevelske in Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol direction our defenders continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnogorovka, Mariupol and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region, where 16 attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk direction the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks by the enemy near Chervone, west of Verbove and Robotino in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" «on the Kherson direction» soldiers continue to take measures to expand their foothold. Despite heavy losses, occupiers do not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. During the past day, the enemy carried out seven unsuccessful assault actions against Ukrainian defenders.

At the same time, our soldiers continue active operations inflicting casualties and technical losses on occupation forces along the entire front line.

Russian troops are increasingly refusing to die for short-term goals of their leader, so enemy command decided to resort to additional forms of stimulation that distort reality perception and lead to death. Thus, according to available information, personnel of the 108th airborne assault regiment of the 7th airborne assault division systematically receive narcotic and psychotropic substances. These drugs induce euphoria and dull pain. Soldiers who use them are more willing to participate in meat assaults without fearing injury or death.

During the past day, aviation of defensive forces inflicted strikes on four areas of enemy personnel concentration, weapons and military equipment. Also, air defense systems of Ukraine destroyed one guided air-to-surface missile Kh-59.

Subunits of rocket troops struck three areas of enemy personnel concentration, weapons and military equipment, air defense means and two ammunition depots.
