President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, announcing a security agreement with the United Kingdom and preparing for the Davos summit.

"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

This day has already entered the history of our state: today we have an agreement with the United Kingdom, a security agreement that we worked on for a long time. This is the first bilateral agreement implementing the basic understanding of the 'Big Seven' regarding Ukraine's security, our defense, and our secure growth. Various aspects. Direct annual support. We fixed the amount of financial support for this year — 2.5 billion pounds. And overall during the term of the agreement — a ten-year period — there will be significant support each year. This includes weapons. Plus support for our defense sector. Plus work by our intelligence services. Plus sanctions against Russia. Plus work on Russian assets. Plus protection from Russian cyber attacks — all that pertains to modern technologies. A truly serious and contemporary agreement.

Many have heard about exemplary security agreements of the 20th century between the United States and Israel, some other similar agreements. Now we have set a model for our time — this is what gives us confidence now as we defend ourselves against Russian aggression, and it fixes our strong security positions until Ukraine's NATO membership.

Our key security goal is the Alliance. And today, based on this agreement with Britain, we are working with other partners for bilateral agreements. Already almost 30 countries have joined the basic understanding of the 'Big Seven'. I am grateful to each country and every leader who has already worked with us in this security work. To all those joining this year. Of course, I thank the United Kingdom and specifically Prime Minister Sunak for their leadership.

Today I met with the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Ukraine's Economic Recovery, Penny Pritzker, in Kyiv. We discussed in detail what steps we need to ensure our stability. We are eagerly awaiting Congress' decision on further support for Ukraine — support that is not only important for us but also for every country whose stability depends on the strength of international law. This battle we must win, and I thank everyone in America who helps us preserve freedom.

We discussed with Ms. Pritzker preparations for the Davos summit. There will be an important meeting about the Peace Formula, many discussions regarding Ukraine's economic strengthening, our reconstruction, and defense partnerships with leading countries and companies. This year will bring concrete results for Ukraine's defense industry — and it will. Our arsenal will become stronger.

And of course, I want to thank all our friends in the Baltic states — very productive three visits were made. Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia. There are decisions regarding weapons for our soldiers, economic support for Ukraine, support for our relations with the European Union, and our movement towards NATO. Specifically, I want to thank partners for their support of our view on Russian assets. Everything that Russia and entities associated with it have taken out in world jurisdictions must be found, frozen, and eventually used to protect against Russian actions. We need to make this a global rule: whoever ruins things should pay the highest price for those ruins.

I thank everyone around the world who is helping! I thank all those fighting and working for Ukraine! I am proud of our people! It is precisely thanks to the strength of our nation that world leaders are paying attention to Ukraine and want to see Ukraine as their partner, ally. We must be worthy of the potential that exists in Ukraine.
