To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on January 10, 2024 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred eighty-sixth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore laws and customs of war, uses tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, and shells both military and numerous civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

During the past day, 77 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy inflicted five missile and 52 air strikes (using three Shahed-136/131 strike drones, one of which was destroyed), carried out 53 multiple rocket launcher attacks on our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Residential private and multi-apartment buildings, the territory and premises of a children's health center, as well as other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Air strikes hit Vesele, Petrovka, Ivanivka, Tabayevka, Pyskanе, Berehove in Kharkiv Oblast; Seredynskiy Forest District in Luhansk Oblast; Novo, New York, Oleksandrопіль, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiyivka, Tonetske, Victory, Novomikhailovka in Donetsk Oblast.

Artillery fire affected nearly 120 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Hortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks near Sinkyvka, Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman direction our defenders repelled five attacks by occupiers east of Terny and Veselo in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction our soldiers repelled three enemy attacks near Klyshchyvka and Andriivka in Donetsk Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiyivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiyivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on aggressors. Thus, defensive forces repelled 11 attacks by the enemy near Novobakhmutivka, Avdiyivka, Severny and another 13 attacks near Pervomayskoye and Nevelskoye in Donetsk Oblast over the past day.

On the Mariupol direction defensive forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Georgiyivka, Victory and Novomikhailovka in Donetsk Oblast, where 15 attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk direction our defenders repelled an attack by the enemy near Staro-Majorsky in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction Ukrainian soldiers repelled two attacks by occupiers west of Verbovyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, defensive forces continue to take measures for expanding their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. Over the past day, the enemy carried out nine unsuccessful assault operations against defensive forces.

At the same time, our soldiers continue active actions inflicting casualties in manpower and equipment on occupying troops along the entire front line.

During the past day, aviation of defensive forces inflicted strikes on nine areas of enemy personnel concentration.

Subunits of rocket troops struck an area of enemy personnel concentration, armament and military equipment, as well as two artillery systems of the enemy.
