President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about a three-hour meeting of the General Staff and preparations for further strengthening of air defense.

"I wish health to all Ukrainians!

I chaired the General Staff. Various issues, various aspects of defense. It lasted almost three hours.

Issues related to military matters. Issues concerning veterans. Issues regarding brigades. Issues concerning fortifications and defensive structures. Issues concerning weapons production. We are working separately to implement all our agreements with partners on new weapon production — joint productions and a shared repair base. The task is to strengthen Ukraine as much as possible, and each month should add strength to our defense.

I would like to highlight our defenders of the sky: they destroyed 30 "Shaheds" in just one night alone. A powerful result! And overall this week, 104 "Shaheds" have been destroyed. Out of 112 used by Russia — most of them. And every destruction saves lives and infrastructure. I thank all the soldiers of our mobile firing groups, pilots, engineers of air forces, and all our anti-aircraft personnel. Well done! There were also downed missiles this week — including ballistic ones. "Patriots," "NASAMS," "Gepards" and other systems provided by partners are working excellently. I thank everyone around the world who is helping!

We are preparing for further strengthening of air defense — we have already agreed on that. And almost every meeting with leaders, in nearly all negotiations, this topic comes up — the topic of air defense. There will be more systems and better sky protection.

And one more thing.

Christmas is approaching, and while political activity decreases in many countries, we continue to work as energetically as possible with all partners who can help now and support us in the future. And we are preparing important foreign policy contacts until the end of the year. Our entire team — our internationalists — works 24/7. And I thank everyone in the country who maintains this pace, who does not tire of defending, working, helping.

Honor to all who fight for Ukraine!

Honor to all who provide the necessary results in every sphere where we need strength!

Honor to our people!

Glory to Ukraine!"
