Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on December 14, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and fifty-ninth day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, conducts artillery shelling with multiple rocket launchers not only at military but also at numerous civilian objects in our country.

During the past day, 120 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out 17 missile and 36 air strikes, conducted 74 shelling with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Yesterday, Russian occupiers carried out an air and missile strike against our country. As a result of the anti-aircraft defense forces' combat operations, 31 out of 32 Shahed-136/131 attack drones were destroyed. The consequences of the missile strike are being clarified.

Also today, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 10 Shahed-136/131 attack drones. All drones were destroyed.

Air strikes hit Kostyantynivka and Novomikhailivka in Donetsk Oblast.

Over a hundred populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 enemy attacks near Sinkyvka and another two east of Petropavlivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman direction, our soldiers repelled two enemy attacks near Serbianskyi Forest District in Luhansk Oblast and southeast of Terny in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled six enemy attacks near Ivanivske, Andriyivka, and Klyshchyvka in Donetsk Oblast. In turn, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to inflict losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on occupiers. The forces of defense successfully repelled 29 attacks by the enemy east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, and Avdiivka as well as another 28 attacks south of Severnyy, Pervomaiskoye, and Nevelskoye in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol direction, forces of defense hold back the enemy in areas near Novomykhailivka and Krasnogorivka in Donetsk Oblast. Here our defenders repelled 19 attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not carry out offensive (assault) actions.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, forces of defense repelled six attacks by the enemy near Robotino and west of Verbovyye in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

At the same time, on the Melitopol direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue active actions to inflict losses on occupiers in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, continuing counter-battery fire and delivering artillery strikes against enemy rear areas.

During the past day, aviation of defense forces carried out strikes at five concentrations of manpower, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops hit a command post, five concentrations of manpower, weapons, and military equipment, as well as an ammunition depot of the enemy.
