The opponents of Ukraine's women's youth national team in the second qualifying round for Euro-2024 (WU-19) have been determined. According to the draw results, the blue-and-yellow team will be in Group A4, where they will play against France, Czech Republic, and Norway.

The acting head coach of Ukraine's women's youth national team, Natalia Ignatovich, commented on the official website of the UAF about the draw results:

"We cannot say that we were lucky. The mini-tournament in Group A4 will take place in April in the Czech Republic, and in my opinion, the main contenders for victory are the teams of France and Norway. We will compete with the hosts for a spot in League A. However, this does not mean that we will not put in effort to give a fight to the favorites."

"What information do you have about your opponents?"

"There is still time, and my assistants and I will focus on gathering information about our future rivals around early March next year. I hope they participate in international tournaments so that we can get the freshest data."

"Will there be changes in the lineup of Ukraine's women's youth national team in the Czech Republic compared to the mini-tournament within the first qualifying round for Euro-2024 in League B in Armenia?"

"Minimal. We are counting on half-back Sofia Lutsan from 'Shakhtar,' who was unable to play due to an injury in Armenia. She has already recovered and is ready to help. Also, we closely follow 16-year-old Yevgeniya Belova, who plays effectively as a forward for Swiss 'Zürich' WU-21."

"Will your players face any issues with playing time before traveling to the Czech Republic?"

"I don't think so. Most of them play for elite national teams and, hopefully, will manage to play a few calendar matches in the Ukrainian championship."

In the second qualifying round, seven teams will be determined to join Lithuania in the final stage of the European Championship for women under 19 years old. Additionally, teams that move from one league to another will also be decided. 

In League A, seven groups with a total of 28 teams will compete, including seven teams that advanced from League B after the first round. The winners of each group in League A's second round will secure spots for the final stage, which will take place from July 15 to 27, 2024. Teams finishing fourth in their groups will start the season-2024/2025 in League B.

In League B, 23 teams will compete across six groups (five with four participants each and one with three) for spots in League A's first round of the next tournament. Lithuania will also participate in League B, although as hosts they are guaranteed a place in the final.
