To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on November 24, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred thirty-ninth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of war, employs tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, and shells both military and civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

During the past day, there were 64 combat engagements. In total, the enemy carried out two missile and 42 air strikes, conducted over 53 shelling attacks from multiple rocket launcher systems on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed.

During the night, Russian occupiers launched another attack on Ukraine, using two guided air-launched missiles Kh-59 and three strike drones Shahed-136/131. All attacking drones were destroyed by anti-aircraft defense forces and means.

Air strikes hit Kostobobyiv of Chernihiv Oblast; Oleksandria of Sumy Oblast; Synkivka, Petrovavka, Kupiansk, Kurilivka, Ivanivka of Kharkiv Oblast; Stelmakhivka, Serebryanske Forest of Luhansk Oblast; Spirene, Chasiv Yar, Bogdanivka, Klitschiyivka, Toretsk, Avdiivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Urozhayne of Donetsk Oblast.

More than 120 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson oblasts came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupiansk direction, the enemy, with air support, conducted assault actions near Synkivka, where forces of defense repelled three attacks.

On the Lyman direction the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Bakhmut direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions near Klitschiyivka and Andriyivka of Donetsk Oblast. Our defenders repelled 11 attacks here. Forces of defense of Ukraine continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating on gained positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavriya" on the Avdiivka direction, the enemy does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka with air support. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense and inflict significant losses on occupiers. Unsuccessful were the offensive actions of the enemy east of Novokalynovo, Avdiivka and Pervomaisk of Donetsk Oblast, where forces of defense repelled 20 attacks.

On the Mariinka direction Ukrainian soldiers repelled 14 enemy attacks in the areas of Mariinka, Georgiyivka and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions southwest of Staromayorskoye of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction the enemy conducted assault operations west of Verbove of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, without success.

At the same time, forces of defense continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on occupiers in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, our defenders continue to hold occupied positions on the right bank of the Dnipro, conducting counter-battery fire and artillery strikes against enemy rear areas.

During the past day, aviation of forces of defense carried out attacks on 11 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops struck three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, command post, ammunition depot, anti-aircraft weapon system and four artillery systems of the enemy.
