To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on November 18, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred thirty-third day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of war, uses tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, shelling with multiple rocket launchers not only at military but also at numerous civilian objects in our country.

Yesterday, Russian occupiers carried out an aerial strike on Ukraine, using Shahed-136/131 attack drones. The anti-aircraft defense destroyed nine attack drones. Additionally, today early morning the enemy carried out another aerial strike on our country. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified.

During the past day, 67 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out one missile and 37 air strikes, conducted 41 shelling with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are injured among civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

Aerial strikes were carried out in Kupyansk Kharkiv Oblast; Pobeda, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Urozhyiane Donetsk Oblast; Novodanilivka Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Tyagynka Kherson Oblast.

More than 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «North» on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeployment to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Khortytsia» on the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out assault actions in the areas of Synkivka, Petro-Pavlivka and Ivanivka Kharkiv Oblast, where our soldiers repelled four attacks.

On the Lyman direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions north of Seriyebryanka Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction our defenders repelled 11 attacks by occupiers in the areas of Vasyukivka, Klyshchyivka and Andriyivka Donetsk Oblast. In turn, the Forces of Defense of Ukraine continue assault actions south of Bakhmut Donetsk Oblast, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating on the gained lines.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Tavria» on the Avdiivka direction, the enemy does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers steadfastly hold the defense and inflict significant losses on the aggressors. Unsuccessful were the offensive actions by occupiers near Keramika, east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and south of Toniky Donetsk Oblast. Here our defenders repelled 23 attacks.

On the Mariupol direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Mariinka and Novomykhailivka Donetsk Oblast, where Ukrainian soldiers repelled 21 attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk direction the enemy carried out assault actions south of Vodyane Donetsk Oblast, without success.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions near Robotino and west of Verbove Zaporizhzhia Oblast, where our defenders repelled three attacks.

At the same time, the Forces of Defense of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on occupation troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Odessa» on the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers conduct counter-battery battles, inflicting fire damage on the rear areas of the enemy.

Marine infantry units together with other components of the Forces of Defense continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, where yesterday they repelled 12 attacks by the enemy. Our defenders consolidate on occupied lines and inflict fire damage on occupiers.

During the day, aviation of the Forces of Defense carried out 10 strikes in areas of concentration of personnel and two — against air defense missile systems of the enemy.

Units of rocket forces inflicted damage on three areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, six artillery systems, anti-aircraft weapons, command posts and ammunition depots of the enemy.
