Note for Attention — Operational Information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on November 17, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred thirty-second day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

Yesterday, Russian occupiers launched another aerial attack on Ukraine, deploying 18 Shahed-136/131 combat drones. Air defense forces and means destroyed 16 combat drones. This morning, the enemy attacked our country again with Shahed-136/131 drones. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified.

During the past day, there were 72 combat engagements. In total, the enemy inflicted 12 rocket and 47 aerial strikes, carried out 38 artillery attacks on our positions and populated areas with multiple launch rocket systems. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are injured among civilians. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Aerial attacks hit: Petrovka in Kharkiv Oblast; Seredynskyi Forest District in Luhansk Oblast; Dilievka, Mariinka, Urozhayne, Staromajorskoye in Donetsk Oblast; Novodarivka and Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhia Oblast.

Over 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv oblasts came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «North» on the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi fronts the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening directions, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Khortytsia» on the Kupyansk front, the enemy carried out assault actions around Syntsovkivka and Petrovka in Kharkiv Oblast, where our soldiers repelled 4 attacks.

On the Lyman Front, the enemy conducted assault operations near Biryukovo in Luhansk Oblast but was unsuccessful.

On the Bakhmut front, the enemy carried out assault actions around Ivanivskoye, Klyshchevka and Andriyivka in Donetsk Oblast, where our defenders repelled 18 attacks. Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue offensive operations south of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Tavria» on the Avdiivka front, the enemy does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka but our soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Unsuccessful were the offensive actions of the occupiers east of Stepovoye, Avdiivka and Novomariupol in Donetsk Oblast. Here our soldiers repelled 17 attacks.

On the Mariupol front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 attacks by aggressors around Mariinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Staromajorskoye in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault actions around Robotino and west of Verbovka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, where our defenders repelled 6 attacks.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol front, inflicting losses on occupation troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire line of contact.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Odessa» on the Kherson front, Ukrainian soldiers conduct counter-battery fire, inflicting artillery damage on the rear areas of the enemy.

During the day, aviation of the Armed Forces inflicted 2 strikes on areas where personnel and military equipment are concentrated.

Subunits of rocket forces struck 3 areas where personnel and military equipment are concentrated, 6 artillery systems, 2 command points, and 2 ammunition depots of the enemy.
