A meeting took place at the House of Football between First Vice President of the UAF Vadim Kostyuchenko and the heads of one of the military-rehabilitation centers where our defenders are undergoing prolonged treatment and rehabilitation.

"In our medical facility, patients with amputations, external fixation devices, spinal injuries... Also, we have patients undergoing psychiatric rehabilitation who received combat-induced mental trauma and temporarily cannot perform combat duties. During rehabilitation, we began to effectively use sports training loads. Upon receiving equipment and balls from the UAF, we realized that we need to set up a full-fledged field with artificial turf, and we hope for your help in this matter," said a representative of military doctors.

"The Ukrainian Football Association has long been paying attention to the rehabilitation of our defenders. We provided assistance in organizing all-Ukrainian competitions among military personnel, regularly hold various tournaments for military personnel on the fields of Viktor Bannikov's complex. We have experience collaborating in this direction with the Main Military Clinical Hospital as well. Regular football training sessions take place here for amputee military personnel; several of these players even represented Ukraine in the national team at a Nations League tournament, where they secured second place.

Clearly, we will not only find a way to help you set up a field at your center but also do so in all four similar medical facilities that we will equip with football equipment as well.

Also, the UAF will take on training your specialists so they can conduct football classes. And to make it more interesting for the guys, let's together think about organizing competitions between centers. Perhaps with a final here at Bannikov...

In short, we are ready for cooperation and in general, we in the UAF consider helping in the rehabilitation of injured military personnel to be our honorable duty!"

As a memento of the meeting, guests received half-shirts of the national team ambassador Oleksandr Zinchenko with signatures from players. And military doctors presented the UAF with a symbol of their center—a gnome made using shell casings from combat cartridges.
