Yesterday in Pristina, the Ukraine national team defeated North Macedonia in a Euro 2024 qualification match with a score of 2-0. The central defender Georgiy Sudakov scored the first goal and shared his impressions from the encounter.

"My goal? If I'm not mistaken, we quickly entered the battle for the ball, there was a clearance. Then Sasha Zinchenko gave me an incredible pass, and I shot; the ball went in with a deflection. In the second half, to be honest, I shot and fell, but saw that the goalkeeper pulled it out. Was it a great save? I want to watch this moment on video again.

We expected a tough match. A strong opponent who has already shown their class in North Macedonia. The Macedonians have an excellent attack, very good players who play well one-on-one. But we created enough opportunities and could have scored more. We lacked some realization, but the most important thing is that we won and got three points.

I don't care who I play against. When you represent your national team, there's no weak team to face. Now everyone is on par. So it doesn't matter—whether it's England or North Macedonia. With such support from the fans, you can't stop for a second. We felt it before and during the match. Incredible atmosphere! I really want to thank all supporters. Those who came to the stadium and those who watched the game on TV and enjoyed our play. Now we need to recover quickly because in two days there's another match against Malta." — said Georgiy Sudakov.

Recall that the Euro 2024 qualifier between the national teams of Malta and Ukraine will take place on October 17 in Ta' Qali (kickoff at 9:45 PM Kyiv time).
