In yesterday's Euro 2024 qualifier match, the Ukraine U-21 team defeated North Macedonia with a score of 2-0. The "Man of the Match" was goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin, who made five saves and helped keep our team's goal clean.

After the game, Anatolii Trubin shared his impressions: "Of course, it’s nice that the fans chose me. But what matters most is that the team won. I believe everyone made a maximum contribution. I would like to share this award — a piece for each player. Of course, there were mistakes, but everyone tried very hard. Like a real team! One nation, one country! I think we deserved this victory. I saw the goalkeeper of North Macedonia make a save in the second half. It was awesome! I always cheer for goalkeepers. From my side, only applause — a great shot and a great save. During the game, I applauded both Georgii and the opposing goalkeeper because he is my colleague. Yes, he plays against us, but sometimes there are such saves, and you understand what true mastery is.

The most difficult period for us was after scoring the goal. The last 10—15 minutes of the first half were very tough. And at the beginning of the second half when Macedonia pressed us because they had nothing to lose. Good that we held on. However, there were moments for us too, and Karavaev — I don’t know... Messi? Or who? Maybe Bellingham? When Oleksandr was with the ball and skillfully passed it, I thought it was superb. Thought: "Where are you shooting?" But he saw that the goalkeeper wasn't there. This is football intelligence. Very high level. And good that a player who came on as a substitute in the last minutes gave his all. This is what a team is — when everyone gives their maximum. Only this way can success come. This is our Ukraine national team.

Now there’s a little time to celebrate. Good that the game wasn’t late in the evening, so we’ll have more recovery opportunities. Tomorrow we must forget about this victory, get out of the euphoria and prepare further ahead. Ahead lies two important matches, and everything depends only on us."
