Today, October 12, the Ukrainian youth national team will play their second qualifying match for Euro-2025 (U-21) — away against Luxembourg's team.

The Ukrainian youth national team (players born in 2002 and younger), which is led by Spanish coach Unai Melgosa, started their qualifying cycle on September 12 with a victory in a nominal home match that took place in Poprad, Slovakia against Northern Ireland — 1:0.

Also in Group F, besides these two teams, England, Serbia, Azerbaijan and Luxembourg are participating. The blue-and-yellow team will face the latter in their next match. The game will take place today in Esch-sur-Alzette, the second largest city of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, at Émile Mayrisch Stadium and will start at 19:30 local time (20:30 Kyiv time). The third match of the blue-and-yellow team, a nominal home game against England's peers, will take place on October 16 in Košice, Slovakia at the Košice Football Arena. The start time is 18:30 local time (19:30 Kyiv time). Tickets for the match are free and can be obtained here. It's not necessary to print them before entering the stadium, they can be shown from a phone.

"Luxembourg has fast players in their attacking line. Indeed, against England they mostly defended and tried to score on counterattacks, but against Northern Ireland they started well, controlled the ball, scored a goal and won. The match on Thursday will be tough," — noted head coach of Ukraine's youth national team Unai Melgosa.

It should be added that the match will be refereed by an Icelandic crew led by Vilhjálmur Þorarinsson.
