President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about his working visit to Romania and new strategic relations with this country.

A very productive visit to Romania. Quality.

Meetings with President Iohannis, heads of the Romanian parliament chambers, with deputies, and with the Prime Minister of Romania.

What have we achieved?

First: there are good agreements regarding weapons. I cannot reveal everything now, but ammunition — plus, strengthening PPO — plus. Some things are still being prepared. They will be powerful. A pilot training center for F-16s is being created in Romania, and Ukrainian pilots will be among the first to train there.

Second: we have fixed that we are moving to a level of strategic partnership.

Behind this political formulation — it has a very clear meaning. As President Iohannis told me, we can rely on Romania. Romania definitely can rely on Ukraine.

Together we will significantly strengthen our region. We are already making a critical contribution to global food security thanks to cooperation in Danube ports and the Black Sea east coast. There will be more cooperation.

We are expanding our transport corridors, there will be more job opportunities and economic possibilities. Today we signed a joint statement by presidents outlining how we will proceed further.

Third: soon we will open up movement — a new railway line through Moldova that will become a new transport corridor.

Together with Moldova, we are moving towards the start of talks on EU membership — with full support from Romania. I am grateful for this.

In the Romanian parliament a majority — is for us.

The Romanian government — in the coming weeks, we are preparing a joint meeting of officials from Ukraine and Romania.

I am grateful to President Iohannis, the entire Romanian political class, and society.

Our strategic relations — this is a new force for the entire Black Sea region.

If we manage to implement everything that we have planned now and on which our teams will work, a new source of economic and security development will appear in this part of Europe.
