President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, announcing the arrival of the first American tanks "Abrams" to our country and preparing for the Defense Industry Forum.

"I wish good health, dear Ukrainians!

Today there was an important report from Minister of Defense Umeyrova: the first American tanks "Abrams" are already in Ukraine. We are preparing them to strengthen our actions against the occupiers. And this will be a significant reinforcement.

We also work to obtain all other necessary military capabilities for us. This includes F16s — pilot training and infrastructure preparation is ongoing. This applies to long-range weapons as well — we are doing everything so that Ukraine can do more to liberate its territory. The same goes for air defense systems. To cover the entire territory of our country, we need more systems than we have now.

The best thing would be if we could produce both air defense systems and other advanced weapons ourselves. This is non-negotiable to ensure Ukraine's security. And we will manufacture them, step by step building all necessary production facilities.

Moreover, we already see a very clear interest from the world to work with us for a new defensive force not only for Ukraine but also for our partners. For our world in general — a world based on rules and intolerant of aggression and terror that Russia is trying to make normal.

Today Minister Kamishin reported on the preparation of the first Defense Industry Forum: there are already over 160 companies participating. 26 countries. Different parts of the world: America, Asia, Europe, Australia. Producers of the full spectrum of weapons. We will do everything to unite the world for the creation of a new and powerful arsenal for Ukraine and all defenders of international law.

I also held meetings today on the outcomes of my visit to the USA and Canada and meetings with leaders of partner countries at the United Nations General Assembly. All agreements we have reached, every perspective for Ukraine — everything must be implemented as quickly as possible. For each direction, we designate a specific official responsible for implementing the agreements.

Defense, political interaction, strengthening and cleansing institutions, energy, reconstruction.

Special attention — to the newly appointed US Special Presidential Envoy for Ukraine Recovery Penny Pritzker. This is a very important appointment. It's a clear symbol of America's trust in Ukraine's future. I met with Ms. Pritzker in New York and she was also in Washington — at expanded talks with President Biden. A productive mood. And it's important for us that the Special Envoy has the opportunity to start working with Ukraine as soon as possible.

I held a meeting with government officials and the Office regarding our grain export. Coordinated further steps and recorded achieved results. First: The European Commission supported the roadmap of mutual monitoring of grain exports. This is completely rational. Second: We are gradually removing emotions from this issue for most matters. Working with neighbors can and must become entirely constructive, and Ukraine is doing everything for that. Third: I am grateful to our partners who did not violate EU trade rules and the Association Agreement. Such constructive joint work as with Bulgaria and Romania we expect from other neighboring countries. The European Union — this is a space for mutual understanding and cooperation. It should be like that.

And one more thing.

I want to thank all our air force soldiers, all our anti-aircraft gunners, mobile artillery group soldiers who every day and night repel Russian rocket and drone attacks.

During just one attack on Ukraine last night the enemy used 33 strike weapons — "drones," rockets. Most of them were against Odessa and the region. Most of them were shot down. Unfortunately, not all of them. Unfortunately, there were hits. But 30 targets out of 33 were neutralized. It's important to remember that every neutralized target is lives saved.

And we will respond to Russia for each strike against our cities and villages, against every Ukrainian community. And for Odessa, Berdyansk and Kherson, for Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy regions. For all our regions. I thank everyone who rescues people after the occupiers' strikes! I thank everyone in the world who helps us defend Ukraine!
