From September 23-24, with the support of the Ukrainian Football Veterans Association and the European Veterans League, the "Superliga 40+" football tournament in honor of supporting the Guard Battalion "Burivykh" took place.

September 23-24, with the support of the Ukrainian Football Veterans Association and the European League of Football Veterans, the football tournament "Superliga 40+" for veterans in support of the "Burivyj" Guard Battalion took place. The first vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Association, Oleg Protasov, participated in the event.

The tournament was held at the "Left Bank" stadium in Kyiv Oblast. Six teams participated and were divided into two groups of three teams each. Matches were played according to a round-robin system.

 

After the first day of play, the winners of both groups and the best second-place team advanced to the "Superliga". Teams that finished third in their groups and the second-placed team with worse indicators formed the "High League".

 

After the final stage of the "Superliga", the absolute winner of the tournament was the team "LSTM N 536" from Lviv. The second place went to "Dnipro," and third place to "Gorohy Plovyv Hrynik-Sport." Taras Kabanov won the prize for the best player in the "Superliga 40+," Sergei Duginov was recognized as the best goalkeeper, Vasyl Sachka as the best defender, and Oleksandr Kosyrin as the best forward.

 

In the "High League," the winning team was "SKV-KM," followed by "Machuki," and third place went to "Yantar." The best player of this mini-tournament was recognized as Sergei Shakun. Among goalkeepers, the best was Sergei Meleshko, among defenders—Oleksiy Aflatarli, and among forwards—Mykhailo Volkodav.

 

The awarding of the tournament winners was conducted by the first vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Association, Oleg Protasov. The rest of the teams also received awards, and the best players—individual prizes and souvenirs from UAF.

Funds collected during the tournament were donated to the "Burivyj" Guard Battalion for purchasing a Starlink satellite internet terminal.
