The women's national beach football team of Ukraine failed to advance to the Euroleague semi-finals

Today, the Ukrainian women's beach soccer team played their second match in the EuroLeague 2023 Superfinal, which is taking place in Alghero, Italy.

The day before, Yuri Klymenko's wards narrowly lost to the Netherlands national team (2:3), leading 2-0 at one point during the match. Therefore, today in their encounter with Portugal, the Ukrainian women needed only a win to continue their fight for tournament honors.

Our girls started the first period excellently. Just on the first minute, Snizhana Volovenko put our team ahead. However, the opponents did not give up and equalized with Andrea Silva's efforts in four minutes. 

At the beginning of the second 12-minute segment, Marta Simoins scored her team's second goal, but near the end of the third period, Myroslava Vipasnyak managed to extend the game into overtime — 2:2. In it, the Portuguese were stronger. With 40 seconds left on the clock, Joana Florêsh scored the decisive goal. 

2:3 — Ukraine's national team failed to advance to the semifinals of Euroleague-2023.
