To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on September 10, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred sixty-fourth day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

Russian occupiers continue to ignore international humanitarian law, carrying out attacks not only on positions of Ukrainian forces but also on civilian infrastructure in populated areas, terrorizing peaceful residents. Sadly, as a result of such terrorist acts, there are casualties and injuries among civilians, destroyed residential buildings, and damaged civilian infrastructure.

Forces defending Ukraine continue to conduct defensive operations on the east and offensive operations in southern Ukraine, destroying the enemy, gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, and consolidating their positions at achieved lines.

During the past day, more than 30 combat engagements took place. The enemy inflicted two missile strikes and 40 air raids, carried out over 38 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers both on our forces' positions and on civilian objects of our state.

Last night, occupiers attacked Ukraine with 32 kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type, of which 25 were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense systems. Most of the strike UAVs that Russian occupiers directed towards Kyiv region.

Air raids by the enemy affected populated areas such as Budarky, Ambarne, Synkivka, Kyslivka, Chernenka in Kharkiv Oblast, Novoselivskoye, Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast, Severodonetsk, Andriyivka, Krasnogorovka, Staromajorske, Spirne, Veselye, Prechystivka, Zolotaya Niva in Donetsk Oblast, Robotyne, Kamianka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Arkhangelskoye in Kherson Oblast.

Over 45 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under artillery fire from the enemy.

On the Volynian and Polissian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy continues to maintain covering forces along the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in border areas with the aim of preventing our troops from moving into threatening directions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk, Lyman and Bakhmut directions, occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to break through the defense lines of Ukrainian Armed Forces in Berestove, Orilovo-Vasylivka, Bogdanovka. Intense battles are ongoing around Klitschyvka.

In the zone of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiyivka, Mariupol and Shakhtarsk directions, forces defending Ukraine continue to maintain initiative: they hold back the enemy, conduct assault operations, and take our land meter by meter. In particular, Ukrainian soldiers repelled nearly 15 enemy attacks around Mariupol.

On the Melitopol direction, forces defending Ukraine are conducting offensive operations, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on occupation troops, forcing them to retreat from occupied positions.

On the Kherson direction, forces defending Ukraine continue to conduct counter-battery warfare, destroying enemy supplies and successfully targeting their rear areas.

On September 10, on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the occupation authorities planned to hold illegal «elections for heads and deputies of local councils». It should be noted that most candidates do not even have higher education and work as janitors, security guards, and cleaners. The occupiers simply use their identities to hide real "chiefs" of occupied territories.

The mentioned pseudo-elections and their results are not recognized by the entire civilized world, while the fact of their holding and participation of local population will be used by occupation authorities for counting human mobilization resources and further conscription into the army of the aggressor country.

Command of the Forces defending Ukraine calls on people to ignore participation in such pseudo-democratic events and avoid being drafted into the occupying forces.

During the past day, aviation of the Forces defending Ukraine carried out eight strikes against areas with personnel concentration, weapons and military equipment of the enemy. In addition, air defense destroyed three reconnaissance UAVs.

Subunits of rocket forces hit six artillery systems, one anti-aircraft missile system, one area with personnel concentration, and one ammunition depot of the enemy.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day amounted to: 490 occupiers, 10 tanks, 16 armored combat vehicles, 22 artillery systems, three MLRS, one air defense system, five tactical UAVs, 40 vehicles and two units of special equipment.
