A charity tournament called "Kherson and Crimea — This is Ukraine" was held before the match between the national teams of Ukraine and England in Wroclaw, organized by the Kherson Oblast Football Association and the Ukrainian Football Association. Eight teams participated in the competition, involving more than 100 football players. All of them are representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in Poland.

The first vice-presidents of the UAF, Vadim Kostyuchenko and Oleksiy Mykhaylichenko, came to greet the participants. "This tournament is one of the positive examples of how football helps support our military. Thank you for being active participants in such events, cheering for the national team, and supporting our soldiers. We all dream of a quick victory and the return of matches between national teams and European cup games to our Ukrainian stadiums. We support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and believe in victory!" — Vadim Kostyuchenko addressed the participants.

"Of course, it is difficult for our teams to play home matches abroad, but the entire Ukrainian nation, and especially — our soldiers, overcome even greater challenges every day in their struggle against the enemy. Thank you for a wonderful tournament and for strengthening Ukraine's voice in the world by telling about our fight and trials that our country is going through," — Oleksiy Mykhaylichenko noted.

The victory in the tournament was won by a team of Ukrainians living in Poznan: the To the top collective triumphed over the Wroclaw-based Alliance team with a score of 1-0 in a dramatic final.
