President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about the completion of a rescue operation in Kryvyi Rih at the site of Russian missile strikes and the necessity to significantly strengthen sanctions against terrorism.

"Dear Ukrainians,

This evening at seven o'clock, a rescue operation was completed in Kryvyi Rih at the site of Russian missile strikes. These were two 'Iskander' missiles. Ballistic missiles targeting a residential building. In one entrance, floors from the 4th to the 9th are destroyed. Simply against ordinary people, against children. This is terrorism that no one in the world would call anything else.

As of now, six deaths have been reported, including a girl named Daria who was only ten years old. She died alongside her mother Natalia. An ordinary family in an ordinary city, whose lives were destroyed by Russian killers. My condolences to all those who lost loved ones...

69 people were injured. Dozens are now in hospitals. Among them are those in critical condition. Everyone is receiving the necessary assistance. And I thank everyone fighting for people's lives! The rescue operation was difficult. Parts of the building collapsed. There was a fire on the fourth floor level. In total, over 350 workers from the State Emergency Service, police, and municipal services were involved in the rescue efforts. Volunteers also helped. Thank you to all!

I especially want to highlight today for their rescue operation in Kryvyi Rih these State Emergency Service workers such as Lieutenant Vadym Kuchkurdya, junior sergeant Volodymyr Gembychner, senior non-commissioned officer Viktor Ilia and Serhiy Bichko – deputy commander of the state armed mine rescue unit. Police officers - colonel Mykhailo Harmash, captain Roman Bondarchuk. Doctors - Vladyslav Voloшин and Konstantin Isaychenkov. National Guard soldiers - sergeant Andrii Holiвин, captain Dmytro Tereshchenko. Municipal workers - Serhiy Dmitriev and Andriy Shaida. Volunteers - Larisa Sydorenko and Viktoriya Tretiak. Thank you!

It is very important when everyone together protects life and helps overcome Russian terrorism!

According to preliminary data from our military, these two missiles fired at Kryvyi Rih were launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea, from the area of the city of Dzhankoi. And this once again proves that for the safety of our cities and the protection of normal life for Ukrainians and their children, our soldiers need to have sufficient long-range weapons and means to neutralize terrorists. The world's sanctions pressure against Russia deserves a significant increase.

And now more and more open information is appearing, including investigations by journalists, about how the state-terrorist circumvents global sanctions and obtains critical components for weapon production. And, by the way, we have repeatedly provided such information to our partners in closed sessions.

We need to act together. Significantly strengthen sanctions against terrorism. Severely limit channels of delivery into Russia of critical components for missile production. And respond decisively – with decisive provision of modern weapons to Ukraine, including long-range missiles, so that we can eliminate this terrorist threat that Russia is creating against our people and children.

Today Russian scoundrels shelled Kherson with artillery. A police worker was killed. My condolences... Nine people were injured, including a child and four volunteers from the community organization 'City of Strength'...

Despite any Russian terror, despite any attempts by Russia to blackmail the world, our joint strength – all around the world who value life – is enough to overcome evil. We can not only inflict damage on a state-terrorist but also ensure victory for justice. When those responsible for terrorism face accountability. But for this we need to increase our cooperation and pressure on the aggressor every day, every week, every month. And I thank everyone around the world who is doing exactly that!

I thank all those who are defending freedom and humanity alongside Ukraine!

And, of course, our soldiers. Bakhmut, all of Donbas, Orikhiv, and all our southern positions, the border – every one and every woman who protects the peace in regions of our country. Our defenders and defenderesses of the sky.

Thank you to you, our heroes! We are working on new weapons for you! Together we are approaching victory!

Glory to Ukraine!"
