September 22nd, the national women's team of Ukraine will start its next official tournament — the group stage of League B in the first-ever edition of the Nations League.

The blue and yellow will play in Group V3, where they will compete over two rounds against teams from Poland, Serbia, and Greece. Our team will open their campaign with a home match against Serbia.

How is the Nations League 2023/2024 connected to Euro 2025?

The qualification cycle for Euro 2025 will begin in spring 2024 after the conclusion of the Nations League 2023/2024 and will consist of a group stage and playoffs. The group stage of European qualifications will take place in the same format as the Nations League, with teams divided into three leagues: League A with 16 teams, League B with 16 teams, and League C with the remaining teams. And here is where it's important: each participant's starting position in the leagues for Euro 2025 qualification will be determined based on the results of the Nations League 2023/2024.

What tasks will participants in Group V3 of the Nations League 2023/2024 solve?

The four winners of the groups in League B of the Nations League 2023/2024 will move up to League A for Euro 2025 qualification.

The four teams that finish second will play against teams finishing third in League A. The winners will play in League A for Euro 2025; the losing teams will play in League B.

The three best teams finishing third will play against the top three teams finishing second in League C. The winners will play in League B within European qualifications; the losing teams will play in League C.

The team with the lowest ranking among those finishing third and four teams finishing fourth will move to League C.

How to qualify for Euro 2025 in Switzerland?

So, the distribution of tickets for Euro 2025 will take place based on the results of the next league cycle. Eight of the best teams in League A (first and second places) will qualify directly to the final tournament. If the host country, Switzerland, does not qualify through qualification, it will still be guaranteed a spot.

The remaining spots will be contested in two rounds of playoffs. In the first round, teams finishing third and fourth in League A will play against group winners and three best teams finishing second in League C. Eight winners advance to the second round.

Four group winners and two best teams finishing second in League B will play against the remaining two teams finishing second and four teams finishing third in League B. Six winners move on to the second round.

In the second round, 14 national teams directly contest seven spots for the final tournament of Euro 2025, where a total of 16 participants are expected to compete.
