Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on July 23, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The fifteenth day of large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our country has begun.

On the night of July 23, the occupiers once again attacked Odesa. In total, the enemy used 19 missiles of various types:

— five cruise "Onyx" from the coastal missile complex "Bastion" (Crimea);

— three air-launched cruise missiles Kh-22 — launches were carried out by Tu-22M3 aircraft over the Black Sea;

— four sea-based cruise missiles "Kalibr," likely launched from a submarine in the Black Sea;

— five ground-launched cruise missiles "Iskander-K" (Crimea);

— two ballistic missiles "Iskander-M" (Crimea).

As a result of the combat operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, nine aerial targets were destroyed: four sea-based cruise missiles "Kalibr" and five ground-launched cruise missiles "Iskander-K."

Over the current and previous day, air force aviation carried out more than 15 airstrikes on objects, concentrations of equipment, and personnel of Russian occupiers.

During the past day, Russian aggressors carried out an aerial strike using Shahed attack drones. As a result of successful combat operations, all five attack UAVs were destroyed by our soldiers. Additionally, the enemy carried out four missile strikes, 58 airstrikes, and conducted 81 shelling with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population; residential buildings, religious structures, and other infrastructure have been damaged.

The likelihood of further missile and aerial strikes across all of Ukraine's territory remains very high.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol directions — approximately 40 combat engagements took place during the past day.

On the Volyn and Polissya Directions, the operational situation remains unchanged. No signs of forming offensive units have been detected.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky Directions, the enemy carried out an aerial strike in the Veterinary area of Kharkiv Oblast. Conducted mortar and artillery shelling on more than 15 populated areas, including Timonovychi of Chernihiv Oblast; Seredina-Buda, Ugroydi, Riasne of Sumy Oblast, and Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Terneva, and Budarky of Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk Direction, our soldiers steadfastly hold their defense. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy was experienced in Kamianka, Novomlyn, Dvorychyna, Zapadne, Kupyansk, and Kislivka of Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman Direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Nadia of Luhansk Oblast and Torske and Hryhorivka of Donetsk. Carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Serebryanoye Forest and Sporny of Donetsk Oblast. Artillery shelling was experienced by populated areas of Nevsko, Bihorivka of Luhansk Oblast, and Torske, Verkhnyokamyanske, Sporny, and Rozdolovka of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut Direction, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Bogdanivka and Ivanivske of Donetsk Oblast. More than 10 populated areas suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasylkivka, Markove, Bogdanivka, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Kostyantynivka, Druzhba, and New York of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka Direction, our defenders successfully repelled Russian military attacks in the area of Avdiivka. The enemy carried out an aerial strike near Severny of Donetsk Oblast. At the same time, it conducted artillery shelling on more than 10 populated areas, including Avdiivka, Pervomaiskoe, and Nevelske of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol Direction, the Armed Forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the areas of Krasnyhorodka and Mariinka of Donetsk Oblast. The enemy carried out an aerial strike near Krasnyhorodka. Conducted shelling on more than 10 populated areas, including Maximilianska, Georgiyivka, Mariinka, and Pobeda of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk Direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Novomykhailivka. Carried out aerial strikes near Blagodatnoye and Makarivka, as well as shelling on more than 10 populated areas, including Paraskevievka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, and Blagodatne of Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Directions, the enemy focuses its main efforts on preventing further advancement of our troops. Conducted unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions south of Novodarivka of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Hulyaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, and Pyatihatky of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Artillery shelling was experienced by more than 25 populated areas, including Novodarivka, Hulyaypolie, Hulyaypole, Novoandriyivka, Stepanovoe, Kamianske of Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Nikopol of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; Zolota Balka, Dudchani, Berislaw, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Veletsenskoye of Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations on Melitopol and Berdiansk Directions, consolidating on achieved lines.

In temporarily occupied Enerhodar of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, occupiers have intensified repression against employees of ZAES who refuse to cooperate and sign contracts with the Russian occupation administration. In response, Ukrainians continue their resistance: they do not go to work, sabotage the implementation of decisions by the occupation authorities, etc. In turn, the oppressors apply psychological and physical pressure on such workers. Employees of Rosgvardia and FSB RF use intimidation, threats, blackmail, as well as beat Ukrainian specialists, take money from them, funds from bank cards, and confiscate mobile phones.

In units of Russian occupation troops stationed in temporarily occupied Gorlovka of Donetsk Oblast, the presence of citizens of Uzbekistan has been noted. The mentioned individuals arrived in Mariupol for construction work. Upon arrival, their passports were confiscated and they were mobilized into the ranks of occupation forces as volunteers.

Air force units of the Armed Forces over the past day carried out 12 strikes on areas with personnel concentrations, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy. Also, our defenders destroyed four tactical-level reconnaissance UAVs.

Units of missile troops and artillery during the day hit 21 artillery means on firing positions, a ZRK, and another important target.

Overall, over the past day, our soldiers liquidated 630 Russian occupiers. The enemy lost 11 tanks, nine armored combat vehicles, 29 artillery systems, four MLRS, three air defense means, 14 UAVs of tactical level, 13 automobiles, and five units of special equipment.
