President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about a historic opportunity for real decisions for our country without regard to Russia and the possibility of total chaos on Russian territory, riddled with weapons.

I wish health to all people in the world!

Today is a day when there must be no silence. And leadership is definitely needed.

Today, the world saw that the masters of Russia have nothing under control. Nothing at all. Just total chaos. Total lack of any predictability. And this on Russian territory, which is riddled with weapons.

We all remember how in 2021, the leader of Russia threatened the world. He had some ultimatums and tried to show some kind of power.

The year 2022 showed that he was mistaken — confused with his illusions and lies, which feed him. They in the Kremlin are capable of going to any terror, any madness, but they cannot even provide a fraction of necessary control. And this is their real problem.

In one day, they lost several of their million-population cities and showed all Russian bandits, mercenaries, oligarchs, and anyone else how easy it is — to seize Russian cities and, likely, weapons arsenals.

Now it's very important that no one in the world should remain silent out of fear of this Russian chaos. Every action by leaders now can be historic. Each word journalists say is worth its weight in gold. We need to clearly identify the source of the problem. And if anyone in the world tries to cover up the situation, if anyone in the world falls for the illusion that the Kremlin can restore control, they are only postponing the problem until the next outbreak of chaos — even more dangerous.

We all know the solution.

First: The world must not be afraid. We know that our unity protects us alone.

Ukraine can definitely protect Europe from any Russian forces, regardless of who commands them. We will defend it. The security of the eastern flank of Europe depends solely on our defense. And therefore every show of support for our defense — is support for your own defense, everyone in the free world.

Ukrainian soldiers, Ukrainian artillery, Ukrainian tanks, Ukrainian rockets — all this protects Europe from such marches of madness that we see today on Russian territory. And when we ask for F-16s or ATACMS, we are developing our common defense. Real defense. This is what's needed now — the time to provide all necessary defensive weapons.

Second: Everything must be real. It's time for everyone in the world to openly say that all criminal acts of Russia against Ukraine were and are unprovoked. And we should orient ourselves exclusively on our common security priorities.

NATO — is not just a word or a set of formal promises. It's reliable guarantees for everyone that peace will not be destroyed. Without Ukraine, such guarantees are worth nothing. Already in July at the summit in Vilnius — an historic opportunity for real decisions without regard to Russia. Any nation bordering with Russia is truly supported.

And third.

I'll speak in Russian. The man from the Kremlin, obviously, is very afraid and probably hiding somewhere, not showing himself. I'm sure he's already not in Moscow. He calls someone, begs for something. He knows what he fears because he created this threat himself. All evil, all losses, all hatred — he spreads it. And the longer he can run between his bunkers, the more you will lose, everyone connected with Russia.

What will we do, Ukrainians?

We will defend our country. We will defend our freedom. We won't be silent and we won't stand idle. We know how to win — and this is what will happen. Our victory in this war will be unequivocal.

And what will you do?

The longer your troops remain on Ukrainian soil, the more chaos they will bring to Russia later. The longer that man remains in the Kremlin, the more catastrophes there will be.
