President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the need for a full deoccupation of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the situation in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson Oblast.

"Dear Ukrainians,

Today was a very busy day.

First, we held a briefing for partner countries regarding the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Representatives from the "Big Seven," the "G20," and international organizations were present here in the Office. Information was provided by the State Security Service (SSU), the Office team, and our diplomats.

Our principle is simple: the world needs to know what the occupier is preparing for. Anyone who knows should act accordingly. Of course, after Russia's terrorist attack on the Kakhovska Hydroelectric Station and their deliberate strikes against other dams and energy facilities, there are no illusions anywhere in the world about Russia. Russia itself has become a global center of cynicism, from where any order for any evil can come disguised as one catastrophe or another. The world has enough power to prevent any radiation incidents, let alone a nuclear disaster. Everyone understands that intelligence services from various countries can provide relevant signals and apply pressure. This is necessary.

We will continue to inform our partners. Information will be provided even to those countries that pretend to maintain neutrality right now. Clearly, radiation does not ask who is neutral and can reach anyone in the world. Therefore, anyone in the world can help, and what needs to be done is well known.

A full deoccupation of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is needed. And whoever closes their eyes to Russia's occupation of such an object, to Russia's mining of nuclear plant territory and structures, in fact, aids not only this Russian evil but terrorism as a whole. Today I instructed Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko to conduct all necessary measures and explanatory work with our people regarding all existing risks. This will be done soon.

We discussed today with intelligence, SBU, and MVS relevant security issues - both those concerning the Zaporizhzhia plant and the consequences of Russia's terrorist attack on the Kakhovska Hydroelectric Station. We are doing everything to connect as many forces and means as possible to pressure and influence the state-terrorist. There was also a separate report by the Minister of Internal Affairs regarding support for people and life in Kherson Oblast and other regions of our South affected by the destruction of Kakhovska Reservoir.

Of course, we have information about what is happening on the occupied part of Kherson Oblast. Even the word "catastrophe" falls short here. Russian evil has formed special groups there to remove and, obviously, hide the bodies of deceased people. And Russia has done this before - trying to destroy evidence and traces of their crimes in occupied territories. They did it in Mariupol and other places too. But such truth cannot be hidden. I thank everyone who helps our intelligence services obtain necessary information!

I chaired a meeting on the spiritual independence of Ukraine - we continue this work, and there will be new steps from us. Clearly, there can be no real spiritual ties with a state-terrorist and those who justify the killing of Ukrainians and cover up evil. Every day and every night of Russian terror proves it. And we will reach the point where all dependencies on Russia, which some try to manipulate, will be destroyed.

One more thing.

Today I want to especially thank everyone who even at this time, in such circumstances, contributes their efforts so that our people and our country have cultural strength. Today the next "Book Arsenal" opened in Kyiv. "Arsenal" is the word that best characterizes the meaning of culture. What makes people human. What strengthens humanity. What preserves and spreads throughout history our experience - each and every one's, all of our nation, all of Ukraine, all of Europe, all of humanity. Please, if you have the opportunity, visit "Book Arsenal" in one of these days and always support cultural strength.

I thank everyone who fights and works for Ukraine! I thank everyone who is fighting now - in the South, on the East, in Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone helping Ukraine and protecting life with us!

Glory to Ukraine!"
