Euro 2024 qualifier. The stadium in Trnava, where the Ukraine national team plays against Malta, is well known to our team.

At Anton Malatinsky Stadium in Slovak Trnava, where today's Ukraine national team for the Euro-2024 qualifier will host Malta (kickoff at 7 PM Kyiv time), our national team has already played two matches.

The first time blue-and-yellow visited this arena was in 2002, when a goal by one of the current coaches of Ukraine's youth squad, Oleksandr Melashchenko, brought a draw for the visitors against Slovakia — 1:1.

The second time the Ukrainian national team came to Trnava was in 2018 for a match against the hosts. That game in the Nations League saw Andriy Shevchenko's team lose (1:4), but it had no tournament significance for the blue-and-yellows. I would add that back then, the only goal scored by the visitors was recorded by Yevhen Konoplyanka.
