President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about the need for greater world consolidation to pressure Russia and about an important decision by the Council of Europe.

"Dear fellow Ukrainians!

Today, a Russian shelling in our Kherson region took the life of another child. A boy. His name was Vsevolod. In July, he would have turned six years old. My condolences to his family and loved ones!

This was yet another terrorist artillery strike. People were simply on the street near a regular store.

More shelling of Sumy region, Chernihiv oblast, Dnipropetrovsk region, Zaporizhzhia oblast, Donbas — all this once again proves that we need even greater world consolidation to pressure Russia, more strength for our soldiers to destroy every terrorist position, and more support for our people to save lives and bring security back to our cities and villages.

Today I held several preparatory meetings regarding new steps to strengthen our defense and international positions.

A visit by the Ukrainian delegation to the Republic of Korea took place — quite successfully. Government officials, First Lady of Ukraine. There were meetings, talks at various levels, a statement by Olena to the people of South Korea and all peoples in the region at an important forum called "Asian Leadership". I thank Mr President of the Republic of Korea for his clear condemnation of Russian aggression and support for global efforts towards peace.

There is an important decision by the Council of Europe: in the final resolution of the summit that took place in Iceland, support for Ukraine's peace formula was recorded. And it is significant that Europe is so consolidated around a just peace plan. I thank all leaders of our Europe and each country — participants of the Council of Europe.

Based on such consolidation, we will continue to limit the possibilities of the state-terrorist to continue its aggression and will continue to increase our opportunities to restore justice, liberate our land, save our people.

I would like to thank separately two European parliaments.

The Senate of France today voted in recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide against the Ukrainian nation. Thankful to everyone who supported this decision. To strengthen historical truth — that is the mission of the strong.

The Estonian Parliament adopted a statement supporting our desire to become a full member of NATO and called on the Alliance to support this decision. I thank all the people of Estonia, the entire political class of Estonia for such clear support of our common Euro-Atlantic security.

Thank you to everyone who helps us protect our people, our Ukraine and life in general!

Glory to all our soldiers who are now in battle, on combat missions and at combat posts! Glory to each one and every one of those who is now at the epicenter of military action in eastern Ukraine and does not let the enemy advance. I thank you, soldiers!

Glory to Ukraine!"
