"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!

Today we were able to see that when a state restores its honest history, events take on a special meaning.

On May 8, Europe and the world commemorated the shared victory over Nazi aggression and the capitulation of evil. And on May 9, together with all free Europe, we celebrated Europe Day, honoring achievements that would not have been possible without the victory over Nazism. There would be no united Europe — an Europe without aggression and revanchism, an Europe that respects diverse cultures, resolves disputes exclusively within a legal framework, and takes pride in its continent's diversity.

The more people know about honest history, the more they see commonalities between harsh aggressions of the 20th and 21st centuries, the more they will value this sequence. The Day of Memory and Victory over Nazism in World War II, followed by Europe Day — Europe as a realized dream for a peaceful continent. And it is only a matter of time before we can restore a stable and just peace for our part of Europe, for Ukraine. It is only a matter of time until the current aggressor loses, just like the one that lost 78 years ago, when Russian revanchism will be crushed by the bravery of our soldiers and the collective strength of the free world.

Today in Ukraine we celebrated Europe Day together with Europe.

Ursula von der Leyen's visit, President of the European Commission, was both symbolic on this day and very productive. We discussed our defense — what we aim to achieve and what we expect from partners. We talked about sanctions pressure on Russia, actively preparing together with Europe the 11th sanctions package against Russia. We also discussed our political prospects in European integration. Of course, we talked about the export dispute with our neighbors in the EU as well. We need to overcome it within the clear contractual basis that exists between us.

Thank you to President of the European Commission for her participation in today's meeting of partners working towards establishing a tribunal regarding Russia's aggression against Ukraine. In total, 37 participants attended — states and international institutions. I addressed them and called on them to move without pause toward full accountability of the aggressor.

I also met with communities of European universities today — Britain, Sweden, France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, and, of course, Ukrainian students. We talked about courage that Europe will always need and how we can all together bring our shared victory closer.

There are new good news from partners. What I can say publicly is there's a new defense package from the United States. The total amount — $1 billion 200 million. Artillery, protection against missiles and terrorist drones, other things to strengthen our defenders and defenders of Ukraine. Thank you President Biden, Congress — both parties — and every American family for your unwavering support and the strength that adds to us.

We are also working with other partners on additional defense packages — adding new possibilities for our soldiers.

Special thanks to the French Parliament for today's decision regarding recognizing Russia's pseudo-private group "Wagner" as a terrorist organization. This is what should be adopted worldwide, every act of terrorism must be destroyed and every terrorist condemned.

And, of course, today, after the state-terrorist once again tried to intimidate our people and once again lost to our defenders of the sky, I thank our air forces and all our soldiers of other branches who carry out anti-aircraft defense. Truly great job!

Glory to all who defend Ukraine and Ukrainians! Thank you to everyone helping us!

Thank you to everyone working with us to restore peace and justice in Europe!

Glory to Ukraine!"
