President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about terrorist attacks by the aggressor on Uman and Dnipropetrovsk region as well as signing a joint declaration with the President of Slovakia and the President of the Czech Republic regarding our European and Euro-Atlantic movement.

"Dear Ukrainians!

The entire day was spent clearing rubble in Uman, at the site where a Russian missile hit. As of now, 23 fatalities are confirmed, including four children. My condolences to the families and loved ones…

All those who were rescued—residents of this building, neighboring buildings affected by the blast wave—are receiving necessary assistance. I thank everyone who participated in the rescue operation and supported the rescued people.

A missile strike on Uman, a peaceful city known worldwide for hosting tens of thousands of Hasidic pilgrims annually… Only absolute evil can justify such terror against Ukraine.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, as a result of today's missile attack, two Ukrainian women were killed. A mother and her daughter. Olga, born in 1992, and Veronika, born in 2020. This child was only three years old! Eternal memory... Condolences to the family, condolences to loved ones…

Today our air forces managed to intercept most of the Russian missiles—21 out of 23. Without this, the state-terrorist would have claimed many more victims and lives. This once again proves that stopping terror and saving people can only be done with weapons. Air defense systems, modern aviation, without which there is no fully effective air defense system. Artillery, armored vehicles. Everything needed to ensure security for our cities, villages both in the rear and on the front lines. To restore safety to our people who are still, unfortunately, under occupied territory. Temporarily. No one can be left under Russian evil.

Today President of Slovakia and President of the Czech Republic visited Kyiv. We talked about how to protect all our people, accelerate restoration of peace and order across the entire land.

I thanked Slovakia and the Czech Republic for their support—provided weapons, political and sanctions assistance, support for people who found refuge in Slovak and Czech communities.

I outlined to partners our current prospects on the battlefield and what further help we need to go through this entire necessary path. Informed them about what we are doing to implement our peace formula, including the point about holding accountable those responsible for aggression. Thank you that Slovakia and the Czech Republic see the need together with us to restore justice and punish war criminals, punish all these terrorists.

We signed a joint declaration with the President of Slovakia and the President of the Czech Republic regarding our European and Euro-Atlantic movement.

I also spoke today with President of the European Council Charles Michel. Informed him about the consequences of Russian terrorist attacks and thanked him for support of our defense, economic, social stability.

We separately discussed with Mr. President of the European Council the situation around the destructive, in my opinion, ban by certain countries on importing our agricultural products. I emphasize that this not only violates the existing Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU but also gives dangerous hope to the Kremlin. Hope that in our common European home someone's erroneous decisions can prevail over common interests.

Now, when Russia is violating free trade, trying to block supply of agricultural products to the world market, it is not time for anyone to follow a state-breaker and do something similar. We need to find a normal, in European spirit, constructive way out of this situation. A solution that would take into account interests of all our countries and Europe as a whole. We discussed with Mr. Michel how this can be done, what it could be like, and we are constantly contacting all partners.

Today also took place a significant investment event for Ukraine—the first major investment in Ukraine since the start of full-scale invasion. The amount of the investment—250 million dollars—and this is just the start of a corresponding package. Right now, when we are still fighting Russian terror, big global business not only believes in our victory but also confirms it with their multimillion-dollar investments, specifics.

I thank everyone who helps Ukraine!

Glory to all our soldiers who are now at war, on combat posts, on combat missions! Thank you, people of Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine!"
