"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!
Today there is an important political result in Strasbourg – at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. A resolution was adopted recognizing that Russia's deportation of Ukrainian children contains signs of genocide. And this is the first recognition of such a fact at the level of such a high international organization uniting countries of our continent.
Speaking practically, this decision will significantly help our global work to hold Russia and its officials, including the leader of the state-terrorist regime, accountable for genocide against Ukraine.
The deportation of Ukrainian children is one of the thoroughly planned elements of Russia's attempt to erase the identity of our people, destroy the very essence of Ukrainians. It is a deliberate act of genocide committed by Russian officials. This is how it should be qualified both politically and legally.
Today, First Lady of Ukraine addressed the PACE – specifically about children, families... Our parliamentarians and diplomats have worked well. And at all levels – formal and informal, with leaders of countries, on parliamentary, governmental, law enforcement levels, in legal communities and international and inter-parliamentary organizations – we will continue to work for the return of all deported Ukrainian children and for holding Russia accountable. We are well aware that data on almost 20 thousand children who were taken away and scattered across various regions of the rogue state exist. But it is clear that this is only a part of much larger criminal actions. There may be many more such children.
Europe and the world have already seen different deportations and attempts to destroy nations. On the Russian example – with the responsibility of this country and its officials for genocide – we must show all other potential sources of similar evil that impunity will never exist again. And convictions for genocide will be. Just as they will be for all other crimes Russia has committed against Ukraine and our people.
In Mykolaiv, the debris clearance at the site of today's missile strike is already complete. Over 20 injured, one person killed. My condolences to relatives and loved ones...
Missiles damaged dozens of residential buildings, two educational institutions. "Kalibr" missiles against schools and colleges, against housing.
In the evening, another missile strike was carried out in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. A school, a hospital, and residential buildings were also damaged. Sadly, there are casualties among people.
Sadly, the world's legal machinery is still gaining momentum. But it is gaining... Sadly, the political pressure of the world on the state-terrorist regime, sanctions pressure has not yet reached full force. But it is reaching...
But our soldiers from day one of this battle for people and humanity are doing absolutely everything possible! And even more than possible.
